The Office of Inclusive Excellence exists to provide an inclusive, equitable, working, living, and learning environment for members of the Wright State University community. The office provides members of the Wright State community a place to obtain guidance for providing equity and equal opportunity in personnel matters and to resolve issues of harassment and discrimination including resolving issues causing hostile environment.
Our services include development and maintenance of the Wright State Affirmative Action Plan, investigation of complaints, advising officials and others about changing affirmative action (AA)/equal employment opportunity (EEO) law and requirements, consultation service for officials, campus groups, and members of the university community; training, and advocacy for AA/EEO policy and activity on campus.
The mission of the Office of Inclusive Excellence is to advance and sustain an environment of internal equity, diversity, and inclusiveness for all members of the WSU Community by ensuring equal access to employment and educational opportunities; promoting fairness and equity; being respectful, impartial, and non-judgmental.
The Office of Inclusive Excellence’s vision is to help the WSU community become so inclusionary that it eliminates the need for the traditional equity and inclusion function.
The oversight of and support for the University’s compliance with federal and state laws in the areas of equal opportunity, affirmative action, harassment, and discrimination;
The Office of Inclusive Excellence offers information, consultation, training, & resources to the WSU community regarding discrimination and harassment, affirmative action, equity, equal opportunity, and inclusion;
Office of Inclusive Excellence offers consultation to managers, supervisors, staff, faculty, students, and administrators on the subjects listed above;
The Office of Inclusive Excellence serves as a mechanism for investigating reports of harassment and discrimination.
