Workplace Violence Prevention

We do not like to think of our work environment as places of potential violence.  The news coverage of shooting incidents in the workplace can define what the public views as workplace violence.  However, a true definition of workplace violence is much broader. This workshop will provide awareness in the following areas through discussion and video. After participating in the workshop you will:

  • understand what is defined as workplace violence
  • identify the causes of violence
  • become familiar with behavioral warning signs which may be present to impending violence
  • learn strategies for crisis management
  • become familiar with Wright State’s workplace violence policy and reporting steps
