New Hire Benefits

Welcome to Wright State University!  If you are a new employee (51%-100% FTE), you will have the opportunity to enroll for any insurance benefits that you are eligible for.  Please review the sections below for detailed plan, eligibility, and cost information.

Reminder: Employee benefit plan enrollments have a deadline of 31 days from your date of hire. Your insurance will begin the first of the month following your start date. Enrollment for new faculty and staff is completed by following the three (3) steps below.  Retirement plan enrollments have a deadline of 120 days from your date of hire.  Retirement elections are completed by submitting the Retirement Plan Election Form (PDF) to Human Resources.

Step 2: Read through the Benefits below.  Fill out your checklist as you go.

Step 3: Make your benefit elections online!  On your first day of employment, you will receive an email in your Wright State account with a link to complete your benefit elections online.**
