Giving to Wright State

College: Graduate School
Major: Student Affairs in Higher Education

My name is Sarah and I am a second-year graduate student in the Student Affairs in Higher Education program. In 2015, I graduated from Wright State for the second time with a master’s in education, and realized then that my time with Wright State was not finished.

My goal within my new program is to emerge as a student affairs professional who focuses on college retention, keeping students in school, encouraging student success, and advocating for them to make their voices heard on campus. It is quite a lofty goal, I know, but one I will be prepared to tackle when I finish my program.

I originally chose to come to Wright State because of the legacy the university has with my family. As the daughter of two alumni, Wright State was the first place where I felt like I would be able to evolve as a student and individual in my time with the university.
