Stormwater Pollution

Building a Strong Safety Culture
What? Stormwater can contain pollutants? Stormwater Outfall Sign
Did you know that WSU maintains our own stormwater system?

To help reduce polluted storm water runoff:

  • Don’t dump anything down a storm sewer or drain.
  • Put pet waste in a trash can.
  • Take the used oil from an oil change to an approved facility like the local auto shop for disposal.
  • Wash your car on the grass so that pollutants and excess water are infiltrated and filtered by the grass and soil.

Take a look at THIS MONTH'S SAFETY BULLETIN for ideas.
