WSU Service Knitting/Crocheting Circle
Fridays, Noon -1:00 p.m.
CoLA Conference Room 162 Millett
Do you knit or crochet or wish you could learn? Do you want to help make a difference in people’s lives on campus and in the community while taking part in a centuries-old tradition of service? The WSU Service Knitting Circle is open to all interested faculty, staff, and students. We work together to make beautiful blankets, afghans, hats, scarves, mittens and other items for Family Violence Prevention Center of Greene County, Greene County Children’s Services, Hannah's Treasure Chest, Michael's House, and Catholic Social Services. We also make baby layettes and other items for WSU students who are new parents. Whether you knit or crochet, we would love to have you join us any Friday you are able. If you have them, please bring materials with you. If you are a learner, bring an appealing acrylic yarn and needle or hook and we’ll get you started. For more information, contact the Women’s Center at 775-4524.
