University of Minnesota family physician and author Dr. Therese Zink will discuss her new book, 'Confessions of a Sin Eater: A Doctor's Reflections' 2-3 pm in Room 315 Dunbar Library. Free & open to the public. Dr. Zink will also sell and sign her book.

Registration requested to help with room arrangements.

Dr. Zink's book will serve as a tool for the next generation of health professionals to learn the importance of reflection to avoid burnout. She explores the limits of treatments and medications for healing, the uncertainties of her craft, the reality that some of her actions cause pain and that her mistakes can harm and ultimately kill her patients. She also recognizes the unexpected gifts that her patients have given her, reflecting on her own wounds and how ministering to patients has brought her healing.
