Campus Recreation: Ice Climbing Weekend

Enjoy a pleasant wintery weekend climbing a 45 foot and 72 foot ice tower!  You and a bunch of other gnarly dudes and gals stay in a lovely heated bunkhouse at Peabody Ice Climbing in Fenton, Michigan. After settling in for a cozy night, we’ll wake up and get ready to send the gnar (that’s climber speak for climbing) on the ice towers.  After we are all tuckered out, we will head back to Wright State Sunday afternoon. 

Cost: $150

Cost Includes: ORC trip leaders, all equipment, meals on location, entrance to ice climbing facility, bunkhouse fees, and transportation from WSU in 12-passenger van.

Activity Level: Beginner – Advanced. No prior climbing experience required, but general strength is recommended. It is recommended to be green card belay certified in our climbing gym before departure.
Physical Challenge Scale: Level 2, this trip is moderate.
Remoteness Scale: Level 2, this is a front country trip.
