The 2016 Piediscalzi lecture will be delivered at Wright State University on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm, in 163 A-B Student Union. The lecture, entitled “Religion and Disability,” will be delivered by Dr. Darla Schumm. Dr. Schumm is Professor of Religion at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Her current research focuses on intersections between religious studies and disability studies. She has several published articles in this area and is the coeditor of three volumes on religion and disability. She is also the coeditor of a forthcoming textbook on world religions and disability, and is writing a book tentatively titled: Religion and Disability in America. This lecture is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Departments of Religion, Philosophy, and Classics, and the Office of Disability Services.
