Then we want your work at the Breaking Silences conference! We are still accepting art work and posters.
Submission Criteria and Eligibility
We are seeking original artworks and posters in all media forms, including: visual art & photography; poetry, music, or solo performance work; and storytelling. Works must explore the intersecting identities of disability and sexuality. This juried exhibition/show is open to artists 18 years and older. Works submitted will be juried by the conference steering committee. All submissions must be original creations by the artist or poster creator. With multisensory access in mind, our goal is to create a thought-provoking and accessible experience for attendees. All submissions must include information on how the work must be displayed or performed, and how you will ensure visual, auditory, and/or descriptive access for attendees with different disabilities.
Please complete the Art Show Proposal and Loan Agreement Form and include a digital image, video or description of what you would like to present. Digital image files should be in PDF format. Up to three pieces may be submitted for consideration. Accepted work that differs significantly from the juried image or is in poor condition may be disqualified. You will be notified of your acceptance by August 31, 2017.
