David Houston, JD, CFP ®

David brings an extensive background in financial services consulting to his role as director of advanced strategies for RiverSource.  Before joining RiverSource, he worked as an advanced sales consultant for ING Financial Services, where he provided insurance consulting and marketing support to a nationwide force of general agents and producers.  David previously worked in a similar capacity for Securian Financial and has also served as an independent legal counsultant for American Express Financial Advisors.  David has a JD from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN, a BA and an MA in Theology from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN.
