Cameos of Caring

Springfield Regional Medical Center—Heather Tudor

Recognition Year:
2015

Heather Tudor has been a Registered Nurse for five years and has worked all those years at Springfield Regional Medical Center.  As a Staff Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), her ability to think critically serves her well while she delivers the best possible care to her patients. She has a vast knowledge of disease processes which are common among the ICU population and shares this knowledge with coworkers in ways that promote their professional growth and development. Her coworkers are always motivated and encouraged by Heather’s positive outlook. Heather is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled in caring for both the patient and the patient’s family. She always seeks what is best for the patient. She has absolutely no fear in questioning treatment and in recommending alternatives in the best interest of the patient. The acronym ICU usually evokes fear and anxiety for patients and their families. Heather is able to empathize with these individuals and, with her calming presence, put their troubled minds at ease. Heather earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Community Hospital School of Nursing.
