Melissa Dinsmore has been a Registered Nurse for 26 years and has worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for two years at Kindred Hospital. Melissa is known throughout the hospital for her humility and her ability to maintain a positive work environment in an often stressful and fast-paced environment. As a patient advocate, Melissa goes “the extra mile” to ensure that patients and family members know and understand their rights. In a high-speed world of modern medicine, Melissa delivers the highest level of quality patient care possible with the utmost patience and caring. She freely shares her knowledge and skills with students and colleagues and acts as a role model and mentor to them. Committed to the professional development of those at Kindred Hospital, she remains very involved with the hospital’s Clinical Practice Council. Melissa earned her A.D.N. from Clark State Community College and her B.S.N. and master’s degrees from Wright State University. She holds certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and as a Wound Care Nurse. She is a member of the Zeta Phi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International.
