Advance Payment

Advance Payment is intended to help students meet school-related and other expenses which are concentrated at the beginning of the term. All students, except those receiving benefits through Chapter 31 and 33, are eligible to receive advance pay.

A veteran, serviceperson, reservist, or other eligible person, who is enrolled at a half-time rate or more, who initially enters training, or re-enters training after an interval of one full calendar month or more, and who is not eligible for an interval payment, he or she may elect in writing to be paid in advance for the first initial month or fraction thereof in which the quarter will begin plus the amount payable for the following month.

Students must apply for advance pay at least 30 days and not more than 120 days before the beginning of the term.
