Austin T.L. Rains, of Dayton, was appointed for a term beginning July 1, 2017, and ending June 30, 2019. He replaces Mr. Ryan Pignatiello.
Mr. Rains earned his bachelor's degree in psychology, with an industrial/organizational concentration, and a minor in marketing from Wright State University. He is currently completing his MBA at Wright State's Raj Soin College of Business and is focusing in health care administration and project management. He also plans to earn a certificate in public health leadership.
He works as a graduate research assistant at the Wright State Research Institute on the Dayton Metro Plan for Economic Diversity, which focuses on building tech commercialization strategies and supporting the startup community. He serves on the Board of Directors for the St. Mary Development Corporation and is the chief justice in the Wright State Student Government Association.
He was born in Kettering, Ohio but now lives in Dayton with his fiancé and two dogs. Mr. Rains enjoys reading for fun, road tripping and adventuring with his fiancé, being an active member of Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honorary, and an active alumnus of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity.
Term ends 2019.
