Being a Raider is about so much more than classes and homework. Wright State University has a vibrant campus life that will help make your time outside the classroom as memorable as your time inside the classroom.
Did you know that students who are involved in extracurricular activities get higher grades and are happier with their college experience? Joining a student organization is a great way to meet others, develop leadership skills, and get involved. At Wright State, we have more than 180 clubs and organizations to choose from, so you are sure to find something that interests you. If not, you can start your own!
There’s no shortage of ways to get or stay active at Wright State. Students can take advantage of free access to our fitness center, group fitness classes, swimming pool, climbing gym, and more. Whether you feel like a game of ping pong between classes or want to give Pilates a try, we've got you covered.
Embrace your competitive side by joining one of our intramural, club, or adapted recreation teams. Whether you want to compete in a mud volleyball tournament or join a wheelchair basketball league, there’s something here for everyone. You can also cheer on one of our 15 NCAA Division I athletics teams. Wright State students receive free tickets for home sporting events. Go Raiders!
Did you know that students who live on campus are more likely to succeed academically? Check out Wright State’s housing and meal plans, one of the most affordable on-campus housing options in the state. Living on campus gives you easy access to your classes, as well as university facilities and events. Plus, it's one of the best ways to get the full college experience and make lifelong friends. Our three residence halls and four apartment communities have a variety of different room configurations and amenities. We even offer several theme and interest floors, so you can live near other students who share your passions.
We have a variety of dining and food options on campus that will satisfy every taste bud. You can enjoy freshly made sandwiches, salads, pizza, and burgers, as well as homestyle meals and international cuisines. Grab a beverage at Starbucks, Tim Hortons, or the Rey Rey Café. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available.
There’s always something going on at Wright State. Two outdoor festivals—Fall Fest and April Craze—start and end our academic year. You will look forward to annual events like Multicultural Halloween, the Raiderthon charity dance marathon, and Homecoming Week. Celebrities, politicians, authors, and artists visit campus often for master classes and lectures. And national performing acts make tour stops at the Wright State University Nutter Center.
