Why wright state
Wright State catered toward all of my needs, financially and academically. As a Pre-Health student the opportunities that are offered are very unique.
Working with professors
In my experience, professors look to offer any available help to students. For instance, I worked with a professor on a daily basis during their office hours my freshman year for a Chemistry class. I struggled, but with their guidance and suggestions I completed the class with an A. After seeing my dedication and determination in the classroom, the professor has written several letters of recommendation for me.
I aspire to earn my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree and become a practicing physical therapist in a cardiopulmonary physical therapy clinic. I have taken all of the prerequisites necessary to apply to graduate programs to complete my doctorate degree. I have a Pre-Health advisor who helps answer any questions on the daunting application process for graduate programs.
I was really intimidated by the size of campus, I thought I would be a small fish in a big pond. However, I quickly found my niche and made friends in my job as an Admissions Student Ambassador and through involvement in clubs, organizations, and intramural sports.
A few of my favorite things
My favorite place on campus is the Campus Rec area of the Student Union. From climbing on the rock wall to playing on the basketball courts, there are so many free options to keep me active.
My favorite class has been Introduction to Kinesiology and Health. I learned a great deal of public health issues that impact many individuals in our community on a daily basis. In doing so, I have been inspired to help others in a career in medicine and rehabilitation.
My favorite Wright State experience has been playing intramural floor hockey with my fellow student ambassadors. We were knows as the "Score Guides" who had not won a game during the season, but managed to win the tournament, receiving the coveted Intramural Champion t-shirts!

What was your most embarrassing high school moment…that you can share?
I am quite accident prone, so there were a few times that I tripped up the stairs with books in my hands and a full line of people behind me.
What is your workout routine?
I never have a routine. I try to be physically active throughout the week in various ways. Either by going on a bike ride, lifting weights, or playing basketball.
What's on your playlist right now?
I listen to a mix of music genres depending on my mood. If I am studying I listen to country music, but if I am going to take a test I will listen to rap or pop music to get my mentally prepared for the exam.
Dream job…where would it be and what would you be doing?
Working as a physical therapist in a sports medicine clinic where I would work with rehabilitation of professional athletes.
If you are going to drop $20 at the movies, what are you going to see?
A romantic comedy.
What team are you on?

What is your favorite place to go off-campus? What is your favorite spot around the Dayton area?
Off campus my favorite place to go is Wright State Way, the walking bridge that crosses I-675. My friends and I like to walk or ride our bikes to the bridge, especially in the evening, it is a great place to watch the sunset. Around the Dayton area I love to go to Ritter's Frozen custard. Since it is so close to campus, I go there all the time and it is my guilty pleasure.
