September 18, 2020 - Fall Semester updates

Dear Campus Community,

The long-awaited fall weather is finally here and has been absolutely beautiful - perfect for socially distanced outdoor activities. Campus Recreation is offering programs for our Wright State students, faculty, staff, and alumni to get outside and connect (safely) with others. Check out their programs on the Dayton Campus for walking, running, hiking, biking, yoga in nature, kayaking, and more. Learn more about each program.

If indoor activities are more to your liking, don’t forget that students have free access to the Fitness Center in the lower level of the Student Union by appointment only. More details are available online.

CaTS is providing even more remote support to Wright State students by offering the option to remotely connect to and use software installed on select on-campus lab computers. Read more information and learn how to connect.

We are expanding our COVID-19 testing on our Dayton Campus to five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 4 to 5 p.m. A doctor’s order from Student Health Services or Wright State Physicians is required to administer a test. The drive-through testing center in located at the Lot 20 bus shelter, next to the Wright State Physicians Health Center.

Again, to stay informed about our ongoing response to the pandemic, visit our coronavirus website.

As I look around campus, I see our students and employees wearing their masks and following our safety protocols. I appreciate all you are doing to help stop the spread of COVID-19 on and off campus.

Take care and enjoy your weekend,

Douglas W. Leaman, Ph.D.
Interim Provost
