October 28, 2020 - Jen McCamis named interim chief recruitment and admissions officer

Students walking on campus

Dear Campus Community,

It is with a heavy heart I announce that Rob Durkle, chief recruitment and admissions officer, will retire effective October 31, 2020.

Those of you who work directly with Rob know that he has recently been confronted with some significant personal health issues that continue to require his full attention without the distraction of work-related matters. In the short time he’s been with Wright State, Rob has made a significant impression on our recruitment efforts and has been instrumental in establishing a strategic focus on recruiting throughout Raider Country. More importantly, Rob assembled a solid team approach to enrollment management upon which we can build.

I am pleased to announce that Jen McCamis, director of admissions, will step into the position of interim chief recruitment and admissions officer. Jen is a longstanding, highly valued Wright State team member, and we are excited to have her in the role. In addition to Admissions, Jen will oversee College Credit Plus, Articulation and Transfer, and the University Center for International Education, and will report directly to me. The other units previously reporting to Rob included Financial Aid and Marketing. Those offices will now report to Finance and Operations, respectively.

We are also taking this situation as an opportunity to restructure some operations and will move RaiderConnect into the Division of Student Success, which is led by Tim Littell, associate vice provost for student success. Integrating RaiderConnect into the established Student Success model and approach will provide value-added benefits to students and their families.

Please join me in wishing Rob all the best and offering Jen a welcome and support as she takes on these additional duties.

Best wishes,

Sue
