October 1, 2021 - [OFFICIAL-L] Make a difference during Wright Day to Give

Wright day to give October 1 2021

Dear Colleagues,

What a difference a single day can make for Wright State students!

Last year, under some of the most difficult circumstances our community has ever faced, the generosity of our Wright State community shined green and gold and shattered the university’s single-day fundraising record when more than 1,000 donors contributed over $215,000! I am proud to share that faculty and staff donors comprised about 20 percent of all donors last year.

When Wright State celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017, we chose to recognize October 1 not only as our Founders Day but also as the Wright Day to Give. This annual giving day is a time for our entire Wright State family—our faculty, staff, and alumni—to come together and show our support for our incredible students.

Will you please join me and make your gift today to help our students? I know times are difficult, but it is through challenging circumstances that we have the greatest opportunity to come together and advance our mission. Now is the time to lift one another up and look forward to brighter days ahead. We are all in this together, we are in this for our students, and we will come out the other side stronger and more resilient than before.

Make a gift today.

We have all struggled to cope with the coronavirus pandemic, and our students have faced challenges as never before and deserve our unwavering support. As we enter the final months of 2021, let’s turn the tide and make Wright Day to Give one of the bright spots this year!

Thank you for your continued support of our great university and for your steadfast dedication to our students.

Best wishes,
Sue
