June 19, 2020 - From the President's Desk (Second Message)

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to inform you that Larry Chan, vice president for legal affairs and general counsel, will retire from Wright State University on June 30.

Mr. Chan has worked for the university since 2016 and has been in state of Ohio service for more than 35 years as an attorney.

His counsel and contributions at Wright State have been numerous, significant, and valuable. Mr. Chan worked with virtually every office at Wright State, providing legal guidance on contracts, intellectual property matters, and technology transfer issues. He also served as secretary to the Board of Trustees from 2017 to 2019.

Upon Mr. Chan’s departure the general counsel's responsibilities will be divided between Sean Culley, assistant general counsel, and Michael Manzler, associate general counsel. Mr. Culley will represent the university on contract and administrative matters while Mr. Manzler will oversee employment and labor matters.

Please join me in thanking Larry for his service to Wright State University and in wishing him success in his next endeavors.

Best wishes,

Sue
