Institutional Transformation for Faculty Equity: Celebrating and Sustaining LEADER’s Success
Friday, May 30, 2014
11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Wright State University, Student Union Apollo Room
Registration is now closed. If you have any questions about the event, please contact Dr. Stephanie Goodwin, Program Director for the LEADER Consortium: e-mail, firstname.lastname@example.org, phone: (937) 775-4517.
For the past 6 years, the LEADER Consortium has leveraged funding from the NSF ADVANCE program to promote and enhance STEM faculty equity and success at our four partner institutions—Air Force Institute of Technology, Central State University, University of Dayton, and Wright State University. Our key initiatives supporting institutional assessment, faculty professional development, chair leadership development, equity advising, and social science research have transformed conversations, increasing gender equity in recruiting, retention, and advancement in STEM departments at all of our partner campuses. While the LEADER Consortium’s efforts have focused on outcomes for STEM faculty, the lessons we’ve learned and programs we’ve developed can benefit all faculty across the academy.
We invite our faculty and administrators from across the LEADER Consortium (faculty or administrators from AFIT, CSU, UD, or WSU) to join in a celebration of LEADER’s successes as we move to sustain and broaden the impact of our core faculty equity initiatives. Dr. Abigail Stewart from the University of Michigan will offer her expertise and evidence-based insights into pathways for sustaining and enhancing institutional transformation. Presidents from each of the four LEADER partners will comment on the value of faculty equity and success, highlighting their institutional commitments to sustaining success in the years ahead.
A buffet luncheon will be provided to all attendees courtesy of the LEADER Consortium and Wright State University.
