Research Interests
  • Wireless networks and communications, especially in cognitive radio and open spectrum systems. My main research field is the optimization in channel allocation. Theoretical methods in this area include the linear and nonlinear programming, graph theory, game theory, heuristic algorithms, and meta-heuristic algorithems, etc.. I am also interested in the mathmetical modeling for real-life problems.

A simple online demo of MIS problem is shown in maximum indepedent set demo page (only supported by java version 1.6 or above, tested under firefox 3.5).
  • Networking Simulations ( I collected some useful online resources, you can find them at here: NS-2, Qualnet, GloMoSim ). In my research, I use NS-2 and Qualnet simulators. For instance, what I am doing now is using Qualnet to simulate the attacking in wired or wireless network, including the port scan, host scan, SYN flood and DDOS(distributed denial of service attack). I have finished a description file to explain the meaning of each field of the record in trace file, and also a document to briefly explain the tracing scheme in Qualnet, which you can find them here.
  • Wireless Sensor Network. I used to do some experiments with TinyOS. My research in this area mainly focuses on compromise sensor node detection.
