Background Information:
I grew up in a family of five with two sisters. We live in a farming community that is about 7 minutes away from the closest town, St.Henry. I went to every year of school
there from elementary through high school. Since I lived out in the country, I worked on my uncle's chicken/hog farm. I learned very much about farming and construction from working there 8 years.

Sports and High School:
I graduated in 2007 from St. Henry High School. Being the only boy in the family my father expected me to play many sporting events and perform well in them, and that I did. My father coached me throughout elementary and middle school baseball and basketball, and taught me a lot about football. In high school I started on the varsity football team as a sophmore, and we went on to win the Division V state championship. That year was so exciting, but who would have thought that as a senior our team would again win the Division V state championship. Football was by far my favorite sport. Next in line was baseball. I played one year on the varsity squad but my senior year was plauged with injuries from the previous football season and I didn't get to play a whole lot, so I ended up quiting. I took up Thursday League Softball instead and had a blast. We won the 2007 league trophy after defeating the defending champs. I also played CYO basketball which I really enjoyed because it wasn't a high school sport and only had one practise a week. In high school I joined many clubs and organizations. The more important organizations I was in consisted of Student Council, Technology Club, and Leadership Academy.

Interests:
On TV my favorite three shows are "That 70's Show," "Sinfield," and "Friends." I love music and listen to mainly rock and oldies. I also enjoy listening to some country music. Although I love music, I was never interested in play a musical instrument of any kind. I love watching NFL football on Sunday, and my favorite team is the Cleveland Browns. Here is their website.
Goals:
I want to graduate the Mechanical Engineering program from Wright State with high Honors and be able to work after I receive my bachelor's degree. As an engineer I would like to work with programs like Solid Works or Auto Inventor and design parts for machines. In ten years I want to have a house built near my hometown because I feel the kids I will have someday should be able to grow up with the opportunities and good surroundings that I had there.

Other Stuff:
The past week I helped a neighbor carry a dresser up the stairs and into his second story apartment. Gina is a great janitor, and she worked at Wright State for eight years.
My School Status
Last Week
Since I have 20 credit hours, I have school about everyday till around 2:30. After that I study, do my homework, and then have free time to do what I want. On Monday I excercised by running around a track, and then watched Monday Night Football. On Tuesday I went to GoodWill and bought a very cheap table. On Wednesday and Thursday I had a lot of studying to do for a big exam, and then Friday I went back to my home in Mercer County.
Campus Life- I do not live on campus, because I have an apartment about seven minutes away from the University. Life at my apartment is frustrating. The other three of my roommates never clean up after themselves and the apartment is usually a mess. They let the trash overflow onto the floor and let their dishes in the living room. I clean up as much as I can, but with my demanding schedule I have to focus most of my attention on my schooling. Other than my roommates being very lazy, I've had a pretty good time so far in college. We've had a few parties at our place a couple times already and every one was a blast. I also feel comfortable in my surroundings despite the fact that my roommate had his car broken into last week. I have been eating very well with a pretty balanced diet. I eat a little breakfast and a small sandwich for lunch, and then have a bigger supper. Sometimes my roommates and I take turns making the meal for everyone, and other times nobody is home at the same time so we fend for ourselves. College life has been very different from living at home, but I am slowly getting used to it.
