Welcome to the "Local Events" Page

This page can be dedicated to updating visitors on all the upcoming events in the local area that celebrate the bicentennial publishing of "Pride and Prejudice."

This page can be filled with links to other pages that describe upcoming events, both in the sidebar and directly within each article.

This upper section would be a great place to keep the upcoming event happening the soonest. For example, the Film Screening is three weeks away, but the Theatrical Performance is being held this week. You could provide some information about the Theatrical Performance and link to their site so that the reader to can obtain more information if interested. In turn, once the Theatrical Performance is over, you can discuss or review it in the "Past Events" section and then start telling people about the Symposium here and also link to that site.

The Regency Ball

Maybe the first header is geared toward the event that is coming up the soonest. You can then choose to highlight the larger events in their own heading. It could be useful to describe what one can expect by attending, and provide links to buy tickets.

Possibly, to make the site more user friendly, here could be an added link that would take the user to the Regency Ball site.

Large events like this may even need a little extra information, for example, many students and other vistors may not know how to get to The Dayton Art Institute to attend the event. To make it easier for them you can always proved directions.

Past Events

As the celebration moves forward and more and more events are in the past rather than the future, you can also use this page to "review" or discuss a past event that you, a student or a colleague attended. Including fun pictures is a great way to keep visitors engaged.

Even after the events have expired, you can still showcase them here by linking to their site with in the article. For example, "Last night's Film Screening of "Pride and Prejudice" was delightful and the house was packed with other Jane Austen fans."

.Also, if you find out about other local events that you may have missed, but still want readers to know about, you could highlight them here. This could allow for a more engaged audience, and larger particpation in upcoming events.
