MKT 775 - Entrepreneurship
The course introduces students to important
theories, principles, concepts and terminologies related to the entrepreneurial
process.
MGT 766 - Managing for Creativity and Innovation
This course addresses the importance of
innovation to organizations; common impediments to innovations and ways
organizations can implement creative ideas.
MGT 475/675 - Small Business Consulting
Students will work in teams with small
businesses to develop a business plan. They will look at marketing, finances,
staffing, etc. needed to start a business or grow an existing business.
MBA 755 - Developing and Implementing Competitive Strategies
Students review entrepreneurs’ business plans, identifying the strengths and opportunities for improvement. They work with the entrepreneurs to conduct research and/or analyses to improve the business plan. (Select sections only.)

MGT 706 – Organizational Development
and Change
Students will analyze and plan different
situations that play a major role in the development of organizations.
MBA 770- Information Technology and Business Transformation
Examine the use of IT to improve a firm’s
operational effectiveness and strategic positioning. Identify and evaluate
changes in information and physical flows, cost structures and market forces
that IT causes throughout value chain.
MKT 740- E-Commerce
Prepares students to use marketing principles,
concepts, strategies, and particularly direct response theory and principles,
for developing an internet marketing plan with specific internet and web
page strategies and tactics.
MIS 705- E-Business Strategy and Technology
Introduces students to electronic commerce
including fundamentals, applications, benefits and limitations, security
and risks, infrastructure and other issues. Primary theme is proper applications
of electronic commerce and its technologies to gain competitive advantage
for business.
MKT 446- Integrated Marketing Communications.
This course emphasizes advertising responsibilities
including message strategy, media selection, creativity, budgets, and evaluation;
Direct marketing skills, including database marketing, mailing lists, media,
creativity, testing, sales promotion campaign strategies and promotional
integration.

Whack on the Side of the Head
A creativity-stimulating workshop that applies the techniques outlined in the book Whack on the Side of the Head, by Roger von Oech to help participants gain a new perspective and break through obstacles to deliver effective marketing campaigns, launch product initiatives, solve issues with team dynamics or any other difficult problem. TARGET
TARGET, To Aim and Realize Global Expansion Together, is a Raj Soin College of Business program that helps small-and medium-size businesses expand their presence in global markets. The program includes practical, round-table sessions where participating businesses learn from companies with experience in global markets and RSCOB faculty with international business and marketing expertise. The program also offers assistance from senior-level student interns trained in international business for companies wanting help with their global strategies and export activities.
Affiliates
The Raj Soin College of Business is one
of the organizations providing volunteer services to the i-Zone.
The i-Zone comprises more than 30 organizations and 75 volunteers with
the goal of helping technology start-ups prepare to launch and run their
businesses here in the Greater Dayton market. The objective of the i-Zone
is to create an environment in Dayton that fosters innovation to attract,
retain and promote the success of technology enabled businesses. To find

The Raj Soin College of Business is a member
of the Greater Dayton IT Alliance. GDITA is an industry trade association
dedicated to the retention, growth and economic development of the information
technology (IT) industry in the Miami Valley region. It is an industry-driven
organization made up of more than 240 member companies representing all
facets of information technology. It is also a member of Ohio's IT Alliance,
a statewide network of six regional organizations with the common goal
of growing and improving the competitiveness of Ohio's information technology
industry.
Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce
The Raj Soin College of Business is a member
and proponent of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce. Among its other
functions, the Chamber seeks to create an environment that recognizes the
unique needs of entrepreneurs and fosters innovation and supportive services.
Dayton Electronic Commerce Forum
The Raj Soin College of Business is a member
of the Dayton Electronic Commerce Forum. The Dayton EC Forum provides
an opportunity for interested business professionals to share and increase
their understanding of electronic commerce through discussion, networking
and educational presentations. Barbara Denison who teaches at WSU is an
active member. The Dayton EC Forum steering committee members voluntarily
give their time in order to promote EC/EDI in the Miami Valley Region.
They are responsible for the planning and coordination of all meetings,

Patents and Trademarks in the University Libraries
The United States Patent and Trademark Depository collection is located on the 2nd floor in the Paul Laurence Dunbar Library at Wright State. The collections are available for anyone to use. At this time, the patent collection includes over 6,400,000 patents. The trademark collection includes over 2,300,000 trademarks. The library has extensive patent research resources and provides many tutorials.

The Entrepreneurs Center (TEC) is a facility
downtown Dayton, Ohio dedicated to the care and nurturing of individuals
who are willing to take the risk to foster economic development and invest
in the region by starting up technology enterprises. TEC researches, identifies,
teaches and disseminates the critical skills and values that enable entrepreneurs
to succeed. To foster economic development, TEC maintains a network
of other successful technology-based entrepreneurs for self-help and peer

Wright Center of Innovation (WCI): Advanced Data Management and Analysis (ADMA)
The data center, which will be located at Wright State, is a $60 million project that brings together business, education and governments to study and commercialize data management technology.

Miami Valley Venture Association
The Miami Valley Venture Association (MVVA) is an organization of the region's investors and entrepreneurs. "MVVA is the place where the business financing community congregates" for networking, education and professional development.
Center for Entrepreneurial Education
The Center for Entrepreneurial Education exists to provide a nurturing environment that meets the lifelong educational and developmental needs of entrepreneurs, business owners, and executives. The founder, billionaire Clay Mathile, is uniquely qualified to deliver such an educational resource.
