4 Bean Chili
This is the perfect antidote to mad cow disease!
- 5 ounces each of the following dried (approx. heaping 3/4 cup)
- white northern beans
- light red kidney beans
- dark red kidney beans
- split peas
- 8 cups water
- Chopped onion
- 2 celery stocks chopped
- bay leaf
- 4 cans stewed tomatoes
- picante sauce to taste
- chili powder to taste
- cumin powder to taste
Add the ingredients through the bay leaf in a large pot and boil
slowly for an hour. Drain at least half the water out, add the
rest of the ingredients and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
