Apple Raisin Stuffing
- 3/4 cup minced onion
- 1.5 cups chopped celery (stalks and leaves)
- 1 cup butter
- 7 cups soft bread cubes
- 3 cups chopped apple (fine)
- 3/4 cup raisins (you like raisins Mikie!)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1.5 tsp crushed sage leaves
- 1 tsp thyme leaves
- 1/2 tsp pepper
In a large skillet cook and stir onion and celery
in butter until onion is tender... becomes transparent.
Stir in about 1/2 of the bread cubes. Turn into deep
bowl, add the remaining ingredients and toss. Stuff
the turkey just before roasting. Make sure that you
remove the stuffing immediately after taking the bird
from the oven.
