the true core of who we are,
the essence of our essence
is our heart, our spirit.
can one be afraid of that?

airport arrivals must be early!
my arrival is at 4:25 am.
ticket counter opens at 5:30.
a good hour's sleep lost.

how much sleep has been lost,
how many inconveniences?
what is the true cost of
that sad september morn?


      middle east

there is no good news,
with two ancient peoples
locked in a struggle
neither side can win.

Palistianians have lost
their prosperity,
their hope, and now
they lost their fear.

and when they lost that,
Israelis lost advantage.
everything has changed,
except that which must.


       sixty

what is in a number?
even one that divides
middle age from old?

if we were born with
six digits, not five,
I would be fifty!

 
   keeping score

there are many ways
that people keep score.
money, houses, cars,
manipulations,
dominations,
fornications...

my choice will be
number of friends.
