improving UNIX mail fluency:
 
command	                  | example      | description
--------------------------|--------------|------------------------------------
s - save message to a file| &s1-5 myfile |save messages 1-5 to the file myfile
d - delete messages       | &d1-5        |delete messages 1-5
q - quit                  | &q           |quit saving read but undeleted
                          |              |messages in mbox, saving unread
                          |              |messages in the system spool area.
                          |              |
x - exit                  | &x           |ignore any readings and deletions
                          |              |sending all mail back to the
                          |              |system spool area.
h - show headers          | &h           |after reading and deleting, see 
                          |              |what messages are left.
z - show next header page | &z           |when you have more than 25 messages
			  |              |display the next 25 from lines.
R - reply to sender only  | &R           |
r - reply to everyone     | &r           |Usually a command for idiots of 
			  |              |large mailing lists.
! - shell escape          | &!date       |see what time it is.
pre - send mail back      | &pre         |send current message back to system
			  |              |spool area as if you had not read it
		          |		 |yet.
