To configure a networked Digital ln17ps from Windows:
add a new printer
select "local printer" (not network)
choose "Digital DEClaster 5100/Net"
Choose LPT1: printer port
pick a printer name
Do NOT print a test page.
Click Finish.
Right click on the new printer and go to properties
Go to the details tab
Click on "Add Port"
Choose "other", Digital Network port
Set the port type to "Digital Rapid Printserver (via TCP/IP)
Enter the port information:
name of the printer
ip address of the printer
port name (same as name of printer)
click on options
select "other" for additional port information
telnet port number 2501
click on configure
click on internet protocol
enter ip address, subnetmask, gateway address
ok,close,ok,ok
Print to the following port: (the port you just added)
Click on the general tab
click on "print test page"
