PersonalI'm not sure why everyone seems to feel the need to include personal details on their web pages. Nevertheless, in the Orwellian spirit of conformity, I'll follow suit here. The wolf at the upper right, by the way, is an original work of digital art drawn by my wife, Delia, and myself using Dr. Halo, a long-obsolete drawing program that came with a Genus mouse for our 1987 IBM PC. It has been floating around the www almost as long as the web has existed. I am often amused at the various places it turns up. |

First and foremost,
I enjoy spending time with my wife, Delia,
and our son, Connor. Of my various hobbies and interests,
raising my son is the greatest adventure of all.
My favorite outdoor
activity is whitewater kayaking. If I had any free time at all to
maintain this page (which is very out of date) I'd place some
kayaking photos here.
Much of our free
time is devoted to WTF Taekwondo. I earned my third dan in the
spring of 2000 under Mr. Jay Kim and Mr. Ron Southwick
of the MSU
Taekwondo club. You can find a few photos here. Delia is a second dan, and has an
impressive martial arts page at Michigan State University. These days, Delia
and I spend our martial arts time working out with Travis Doom and Jen White, two
accomplished martial artists and generally fine people.
I also enjoy
playing and listening to folk guitar. Among my favorite folk
musicians are such remarkable talents as David
Wilcox, Eddie
from Ohio, Dar
Williams, Richard Shindell, James Taylor, and
many more. Far too many, in fact, to list them all here.
If you, too, have a ken for folk music, you might consider spending
some time at the folkbook.
If I had an infinite amount of time, I'd spend a lot more of it doing this:
