Sound Clip from "Daytown Shuffle"
By popular request (thanks, Sis) I'm posting an example of my jazz improvisational skills (or lack thereof). It's a 60-second sound clip from a composition I call "Daytown Shuffle," which I first arranged for big band and then augmented with a live trumpet solo. The composition is really a 23 measure piece with breaks in every chorus, but the solo section on this audio clip is a simple 12 measure blues with ensemble accompaniment. It's not really a shuffle, and it's really about a place called Dayton, but never mind . . .
(The clip is going to take a little while to download, since it's a 1.3 MB file.)
