COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This course will
survey the current scholarly and applied research literature of the employment
process from the perspective of both applicant and employer. Focus
will be on recruitment and selection methodologies. Topics will
include job competency; skill requirements; market validation of knowledge,
skills, and abilities; recruitment approaches; and the legal environment
throughout the employment process. Students will develop an
employment strategy for their own professional development.
