I would like to tell you how I went about creating this page. I first came up with the idea of saying Welcome in different languages because of my majors and minors. I'm very interested in internationalism and wanted to coordinate that into my web page. It took me quite a while to find all the different translations for welcome. I had to go to many different search engines to find them all. The next obstacle was finding the flags online and formatting them to make them legible and to fit in the table I created because I wanted everything to align.
When I started on the text about myself, I wanted to incorporate as many links to the appropriate information about myself, so visitors to myself could do just that; learn about me. I tried to put in as much basic information on myself as possible; work, school, and personal, but not too personal, haha.
I wanted to include my class schedule so people could see the kinds of classes I take, because I am an untraditional student with 2 majors and 2 minors.
I took some extra time to put in a photo gallery of pictures from International Business Club dinners and older pictures of myself.
I also spent some extra time creating my form page. I wanted it to be different from a general form and wanted people to be able to email me their information, incase they wanted to get to know each other.
I think the thing that I spent the most time on was creating the table of flags and ways to say Welcome. I have been wanting a personal web site for quite a while, and now I can say I have one and I'm quite pleased with the work. |
