Geology Club

The club has been designed with 7 monthly after school meetings. Due to the large number of students enrolling in the club each year, the students are put into four groups of 10-12 students in separate classrooms for all club meetings. Although the club coordinator orders all supplies and makes appropriate copies, the meetings are run by parent/teacher volunteers along with 7^th grade helpers.

Prior to each meeting the club coordinator emails the parent volunteers instructions and relevant background material (provided via links below). The coordinator convenes with the 7^th grade volunteers during lunch the week of the meeting to go over their role and duties. The 7^th graders also help assemble club materials at this time or during another lunch period.

The club members create a journal throughout the year and bring it to each monthly meeting. All distributed material is hole-punched and placed in a three-hole tab folder which serves as the journal (all journal informational sheets and club activity worksheets provided via the links below).
