  1. OhioLINK Databases

    1. PsycINFO includes professional and academic literature in psychology and related disciplines. Worldwide in scope, its coverage goes back to 1887. There is some full-text available.

    2. ERIC is the major index for educational information. It includes journal articles, documents, & digests. Coverage goes back to 1966+. There are links to some full-text articles.

    3. MEDLINE indexes the international literature in medicine and closely related fields like biomedicine, allied health fields, biological & physical sciences, etc. It covers information from 1966+ and is updated monthly. There is some full-text available.

    4. Science Citation Index Expanded is a multidisciplinary database covering the literature of the sciences in 164 disciplines from 1980+.

    5. Social Sciences Citation Index is a multidisciplinary index covering literature in fifty different disciplines in the social sciences. Coverage goes back to 1980+.

    6. Social Work Abstracts focuses on the literature in social work and related fields. Coverage is from 1977+.

    7. Sociological Abstracts indexes the literature in sociology and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences. Information is indexed from over 2,600 journals around the world. Its coverage is from 1963+.

    8. GPO Monthly Catalog indexes publications produced by U.S. government agencies. Coverage goes back to July, 1976+.

    9. Public Affairs Information Service (PAIS) indexes public policy/public affairs resources, emphasizing factual and statistical information from over 1,600 periodicals and journals, government documents, reports, etc. Coverage goes back to 1972+.

  2. Full-Text Indexes & Journal Collections

    1. OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center (EJC)
      The EJC provides access to full-text scholarly articles from over 3,500 electronic journals published by Academic Press, Elsevier Science, Johns Hopkins University Press, Kluwer Academic Publishers, Springer-Verlag, and John Wiley. Both medical and social science journals are well represented in the EJC. While most coverage begins in 1995, it varies by journal.

    2. Academic Search Premier
      This database provides full-text coverage for more than 3,400 scholarly publications since the mid-1970s. It is multidisciplinary and includes publications like Addiction, Drug & Alcohol Review, and Journal of Behavioral Health Services & Research

    3. LexisNexis Academic Universe
      This resource is a full-text news, business, legal and court information service with more than 1.3 billion documents available. Current information is updated constantly, while most older material goes back around 15-20 years. Use this resource to find newspaper or journal articles, laws, medical information, etc. concerning drugs, addiction, and chemical dependency issues.

    4. Contemporary Women's Issues
      This database provides an international focus to women's issues, from 1992+, with access to full-text articles in journals, newspapers, alternative presses, government reports, international agencies, etc. Some relevant journals include Behavioral Medicine, Journal of American College Health, Journal of Social Psychology, Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, NSWA Journal, and National Women's Health Report.

      This collection includes over 17,000 recently published full-text, academic &/or commercial books (e-books) along with a large collection of older works now in the public domain (no longer under copyright).
