EC 204 and EC 205

Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics

These webpages are being updated to conform to the course changes from EC 201-203 to EC 204 and EC 205.  I apologize for the dated material.

The Principles of Economics (EC204 and EC205) are both four credit hours and are required for business majors. EC204 is not a prerequisite for EC205. So both courses can be taken simultaneously. If you are interested in taking these courses online please click here for additional information EC204-5 Online.

The field of economics covers a broad range of concerns, from practical questions about how a business operates and can improve efficiency to the more abstract study of the limits that nature imposes on mankind and natural resources.  Economics aims at improving our welfare by understanding how people make decisions when faced with relative scarcity.  This social science studies the complex relationships among the production, consumption, and distribution of material goods.
