Hello,
For some reason I did the correct search and found your web page concerning
good old Park Hills. I have to confess I stop back by to visit
every now
and then and I even have had the urge to contact some of my old friends
from
other classes. I see my class, '75, has been remiss in sending
in
information or establishing much of a presence on your page.
The apathy
saddens me, but since I share it to a degree, I can understand.
I think the
class of '72 set so many traditions and patterns that we found it easier
to
follow than to lead or innovate ... and that seems to have carried
over to
our attitude toward reunions.
You've done a really nice job with the web page and I appreciate the
time
and effort it took to create and to maintain. I enjoy reading
the e-mail
and yet the messages sadden me a bit because I'm not personally experiencing
the closeness many of your correspondents are. It's easy to say
that one
should grow beyond high school but some ties are rather nice to have,
even
if they aren't strictly necessary.
I would really prefer you not publish this; in fact I would request
you do
not. I cherish my anonymity ... at least until I decide to reach
out to
some of my fellow PHS alumni! Until then, I intend to enjoy your
site and
to keep in the know (so to speak) vicariously! Again, keep
up the good
work, and if you need any information on my class, I'll be glad to
pass on
the little I have!
Sincerely,
Anonymous
