What I did Last Week

Last week was midterms in most of my classes. A lot of time was spent studying for the tests that occured. Of these tests math was the easiest since it was a take home test. In ERG 190 I had a test over moments and solidworks. This did not cause me much trouble because I had taken the ME 202 course which only covers that program and had recieved an A. When I am not working on school work I am doing research for the Aero Design Team Airplane. Our competition plane that we took to Georgia is above; we are trying to improve the design for next year. As of right now all that the team is doing is getting the equations to do the stability tests on the new airframe that is being designed. Between midterms and the airplane, most of my time during the week is used up.




The pictures above are me and a friend from class. In these pictures we are at different places in the Student Union. The first one is taken in the Union Market. This is a place where you can get food and drinks for all the meals of the day. The tables there are also good for doing homework and other such things. The second picture is taken from the basketball courts. These are there for student use and since they are indoors can be used any time.

Classes

My classes this quarter are mostly engineering requirements. I am taking EGR 190, PHY 240/200, and MTH 131. The other class that I am taking is ENG 102. The english class is just writing papers and does not have anything to do with my major but it is a class that needs to be taken. I am doing well in every class but physics. This is because the class involves a lot of self study and the tests are over harder material then what is taught in class. This caught me off guard the first test since i was expecting problems similar to the lecture and thus I did not do to well. However, in every other class but that I am getting good marks.

Campus Life

What I like about campus life is that I can do whatever I want between classes. There are a lot of things that are open for me to use. If I have a paper to type then I am able to use the Russ computers to print out whatever I need. Also there is food around campus that has a wide range. I guess what is best about campus is the wide variety of things that you can do to kill time between class. There is no reason to leave in the middle of the day because everything that is needed during the day is located right on campus. This is what I like most about campus life.
