The OHA provides guidelines and professional standards for the practice of oral history.
Alaska State Historical Collections, http://www.library.state.ak.us/hist/hist.html, Founded by the U.S. Congress in 1900, the collections include over 130,000 photographs of Alaska’s geography, history and culture. The collections have a large collection of manuscripts, journals and diaries from all sections of Alaska’s population and professions. Included are books, periodicals, newspapers and my favorite, the maps.

Army Civilian Personnel Online http://www.cpol.army.mil, This is the official web site for applying for civilian jobs working for the Department of the Army. It features an online resume building and application process as well as the ability to search the jobs data base and define your search by type of job, location, pay or several other options. Jobs are located world wide wherever you will find US Army forces.
The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), www.neh.gov/, Created in 1965, the NEH is a federal grant-funding agency which funds projects and research that promote a wide variety of projects to include education, preservation, and public programming. The website features information on projects that the NEH has funded in the past. Information on the grant application process is available on-line as well as forms and deadlines.
Kansas State Historical Society, http://www.kshs.org/, Established in 1875, the society publishes several magazines and newsletters to include Kansas Kaleidoscope aimed at children and families. There are several links including a link to the WWII Kansas Veterans Index. The web site lets you explore state historical sites by theme, region or activity.
The John F Kennedy Special Warfare Museum, http://www.soc.mil/swcs/museum/museum.shtml, A museum dedicated to the preservation of the history of the U.S. Army’s Special Operations forces. Included are the history of Special Forces, The Ranger Regiment, Civil affairs and psychological operations in support of special operations missions. The museum is also an education institute supporting the JFK Special Warfare Training Center.
National Corvette Museum (NCM), http://www.corvettemuseum.com/, The definitive museum of “America’s Sports car.” The NCM is a member funded non-profit museum which I am proud to be a member of. The NCM tries to maintain at least one example of each year of the Chevrolet Corvette, from 1953-2005, on display at all time, plus exhibits of famous corvettes of the past and prototypes of future cars. The NCM also maintains an impressive archive of production fact on the cars.
