The New Oxford Annotated Bible with Apocrypha, edited by Bruce M. Metzger and Roland E. Murphy (New Revised Standard Version), Oxford University Press, 1991.

The Oxford Study Bible: Revised English Bible, with the Apocrypha, edited by M. Jack Suggs, Katharine Doob Sakenfeld, and James R. Mueller, Oxford University Press, 1992.
The Catholic Study Bible: New American Bible, Donald Senior, ed., Oxford University Press, 1990.
The New International Version is a populartranslation produced by a team of conservative scholars, but is not yet available study edition with notes that would be comparable to those in the editions listed above. Perhaps the closest is published by Zondervan, 1985, but its orientation is more devotional than academic. It also lacks the apocrypha. Back to Top
