WHY I DECIDED TO PURSUE A CAREER IN MUSIC:
I have always loved music and could never see myself being happy doing anything else. After graduating from EKU in 2006 I did not obtain a job in my field and instead worked in the healthcare industry for three years before deciding that I needed to be involved in music. I quit my job and started working multiple part time jobs to allow me to go back to school and pursue my dream.
There is not much I wouldn't do to have music in my life and to share that with students.

Arutunian Trumpet Concerto

FAVORITE GROUP/PERFORMER:
Hakan Hardenberger - I absolutely love his sound
Chicago Symphony Orchestra - For brass players, it doesn't get better than this.

FAVORITE COMPOSITION/COMPOSER:
Mahler. I love all his work.
