Important Information about
Login to Computers in Russ 152C
Last Update: Monday June 11, 2001 2:40 p.m. EST
It is essential that you get your CaTS login account the first week of
class if you do not already have one.
Read the following information:
All students who are taking a class in the College of Engineering and Computer
Science pay a Computer Technology fee. That means that everyone in this
class
who has paid their fees is on a list of students allowed to use the machines in
the 152 Russ area. The machines in room 152C are PCs. In order to
login to
them, you need to leave the first login screen as it stands (ecslogon with no
password) and click on OK. A second login should appear. On this
screen, the
login is your CaTS login starting with w or s, a three-digit number, and ending
with your initials. The password is the password that you use with that
login.
If you are having trouble logging in, and you are carefully following the
instructions, then you need to do the following:
Send an email to support@cs.wright.edu
and we will check to see if you are in the database. You MUST tell us
what your CaTS login name is.
If you are in the database then you need to:
1- Be sure you are really following the instructions.
2- Be sure that the CAPS LOCK key is not on, as the login and password are case
sensitive.
3- check to see if the password you are using worka when you try to login to
unixapps1.wright.edu in a telnet window. If not, you should contact CaTS
to
reset your password to something that you know.
If you are not in the database:
Check with the bursar to be sure that your fees are in order --
1- Are your fees paid
2- Are you on a waiver or financial aid, sometimes this delays the fee processing.
If you take your fee receipt and your class schedule to the System
support people (Mike, Doug or Sheila) we can add you to the database by hand.
