As a firefighter, I have seen many homes lost due to carelessness and a lack of understanding about how to react to fires. Would you know what to do if a fire occured suddenly and without warning near you? Many people have been able to escape fire dangers without experiencing harm, simply because they had a few Fire Safety Rules. Today, a new assignment awaits you and your knowledge of Fire Safety will be put to the test. Can you stay cool under fire?

Everyone will work with a partner to complete an information sheet about the Fire Safety Rules.  Next, you will work cooperatively to create a PowerPoint about Fire Safety to share with the class. A PowerPoint template will be given to you by your teacher.

  1. Use the online resources to learn what to do if there is a fire.
  2. Complete an information sheet about fire safety.
  3. Create a PowerPoint slideshow about fire safety
