Guide for Discussion Leadership

Follow these steps to complete this assignment:

2. prepare a two-page paper according to the guidelines below

3. Lead discussion on assigned day for approximately 10-15 minutes.

Discussion Paper

This paper will be approximately 2 pages long, and will accomplish three main tasks:

1. A page (double space) describing the author's main themes, and the significance of those themes historical context. You will be addressing questions such as what context the author was writing in, and to whom. What concerns does she/he raise and why it important?

2. A page with a sequence of 4 or 5 questions for the class to discuss. After each question, write a brief description (single space) of the possible answers to the question. The questions should advance from the concrete to the general, so that the final question will strike directly at the theme(s) you consider most important in the author.
