What can you do with an English degree?

It’s a question that everyone concentrating in literature has to answer. Rather than focusing on the fact that my degree did not prepare me for a specific career field, I looked at all the things an undergraduate degree in Literature and a graduate degree in Composition and Literature did prepare me for.

In an age where reputation is based on online presence and online presence is often based on writing, I’ve learned to compose both artistically and with a rhetorical savvy to reach both broad and specific audiences. In addition, I am currently working on expanding my skills in online visual design and the different ways that numerous types of online media influence and impact visitors to a site and developing my skills in writing for fundraising through grants.

“What can you do with an English degree?” isn’t really the right question. The question at this point is, “What can you do with Stephen Bush?”
