Anand Jeyaraj, PhD

Anand Jeyaraj is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at the Raj Soin College of Business. He earned his PhD in Business Administration (emphasis in Information Systems) at the University of Missouri – St. Louis

He also holds two Masters degrees: one in Management Information Systems from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and another in Computer Science from Bishop Heber College, India.  His Bachelors degree was in Computer Science from St. Xavier’s College, India.

He has been an instructor for over 20 years and has taught courses in computer science and information systems. He has previously taught at the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Missouri—St. Louis in the United States as well as St. John’s College and Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in India. He has also worked as a programmer, analyst, and developer for several years.

He is a recipient of multiple teaching awards including the  University of Ohio System Faculty Innovator Award, the  International Conference on College Teaching and Learning Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Technology Award, and the Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE) Faculty Excellence Award.  

His research interests are primarily in the area of information systems with overlaps in organizational behavior, influence tactics, and social networks. He has conducted research in a number of organizations on the adoption, diffusion, and assimilation of information systems. 

His research has been published at leading journals such as Management Science, Journal of Information Technology, Information & Organization, and Communications of the ACM.  He has also presented his research at several conferences including Diffusion Interest Group in Information Technology (DIGIT), Americas Conference on Information Systems, Annual Conference of the Academy of Management, and Southern Association for Information Systems.

He has been inducted into different honor societies, including Beta Gamma Sigma, Alpha Iota Delta, and Phi Kappa Phi.

He is an active member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), the Special Interest Group on Adoption and Diffusion of Information Technology (SIGADIT), the Academy of Management, and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS).
