Web Admin - Meeting Notes

The fun and exciting world of meeting notes! Thanks much to everyone who felt that a Web Admin Meeting is more fun than actually going on vacation. Thanks especially to all three Jeffs for showing up and confusing the heck out of our newbie!But I digress...
Intro of Amy Merhige. New web designer. Comes to us from an ad agency in Michigan.
Role of Web Team. Trying to promote the Web Team more readily. Includes a new web site (www.wright.edu/web/) to inform people of what we're doing and what we can do.
Comment Card. To be given the run-through by CaTS, starting in August. Currently waiting on an Oracle update to tie in with their HEAT database. (was2.test.wright.edu/cgi-bin/cats/comment.pl?callid00000000)
Continuing Education Database. Jeff is beginning work on a database of all courses geared for the "continuing education" market. Will be updateable online, and will be used for feed into the printed pieces. Also feeds directly into Kettering Center web site.
Kettering Center. Site nearly complete. Waiting to finalize Continuing Ed DB before launch. (www.wright.edu/testing/mikerues/cpd/)
CUPA. Site complete. Waiting on final approval. (www.wright.edu/testing/mikerues/cupa/)
Financial Aid. Site nearly done. Waiting on a few final elements. Includes online financial aid calculator. (www.wright.edu/testing/mikerues/admissions/finaid/)
Pathways to Success. New site in progress to welcome African-American students. Will include message board.
Intranet. Still in development stages. (www.wright.edu/testing/sean/intranet.jpg)
Communications & Marketing site. Slow progress with minimal push from C&M. (www.wright.edu/testing/sean/cm.jpg)
College of Engineering. Undergoing total site revamp. To eventually include all CoE departments.
Department of Chemistry. Site done. Waiting for launch. (www.chm.wright.edu:81)
Women's Center. Revamp of current site.
Mike Corcoran. Installing new sever for the Library. Will be ready in 1-2 weeks.
Greg Kojola. Complete site overhaul for Fall 2003. Includes new hardware, as well as updated visuals.
Eileen Porter. Biplane logo is not dead, but is difficult to use well online. N drive is not appropriate to "post" syllabi, etc. since it cannot be accessed externally.
Traci Thompson. DOCP server was hacked into this past winter. Will be migrating to main server.
Jeff Dabney. Working on College of Education and Human Services redesign for Fall 2003.
Jeff Hiles. Thinking about Center for Teaching and Learning site redesign.
Michelle Frisque. Updating/revamping old, digital photo collection. New server being installed in Library.
Kurt Cypher. Still investigating accessible chat software. Will be working on CaTS Systems department site redesign.
