Miscellaneous
1) Course Descriptions -- more dynamic course descriptions are nearly ready. You should have received e-mail with details. If not, please let me know. Go to http://www.wright.edu/courses/2) Admitted Student Web Site -- http://admit.wright.edu -- will update with New Student Orientation info as it becomes available. We're using cookies created from the T-shirt drawing to put the student's first name on the opening page when they return to that page. No feedback yet.
3) Web Inquiries -- answering of e-mail inquiries going to webmaster@wright.edu is now being fulfilled by Help Desk staff.
4) News releases and points of pride are circulating on the main WSU Web page. If you have items that might qualify for a point of pride, please send it to john.bennett@wright.edu -- from the Office of Communications & Marketing. If you have an announcement that would benefit the general public, please send it to donna.hamilton@wright.edu -- I can add announcements to the main page that aren't appropriate for points of pride or news releases.
5) New Projects
* revision/redesign of Student Life site -- http://www.wright.edu/students/studentlife/
* video clips for an admissions mini-CD for prospective students.
6) Upcoming Projects
* Online events calendar modeled after the one Ohio University is using. Will let you know once we have something up for experimentation.
* CaTS site redesign and move to main Web server.
* CaTS online comment/evaluation card
7) Updates from other areas.
* Athletics site (http://wsuraiders.com) is still being hosted by Oarnet, but it's now on a new server, which is maintained jointly by Oarnet and our system administrators.
* CEHS -- Jeff Dabney and staff continue to add Web sites for their various academic programs.
* IDTL -- Updated index (http://www.idtl.wright.edu/) -- made more streamlined for quicker load-time.
* COSM -- New site should be up soon.
* Biology -- doing a major redesign and will move to the main Web server for better performance and less maintenance for biology staff.
* Chemistry -- Had security breech, but server is now back online. Will work on redesign soon.
* WebCT -- new site at http://wisdom.wright.edu
* COLA -- updated academics index, so it's alpha by department.
*SOM -- finalizing a new design. Testing anti-spam software to see they can encrypt e-mail addresses, so they can't be found by spamming software.
